We will visit with our 10 month old in Oct '09. I have a stroller and a backpack carrier. Both are very bulky to pack, and each have their own advantages. Can you suggest 1 over the other?

    Hi Valerie,

How fun to be planning your child's first Disney World visit. Personally this is a very easy choice for me. I would bring the stroller for sure. Even in October, the temperatures at Disney can be quite warm and I think it will be much more comfortable for you  and your child to have the persoanl space that the stroller provides to stay cool. You will be walking and moving a great deal around the resorts and parks and the added weight of carrying your child will be quite exhausting for you and your husband.

Also the stroller will be a great place for your child to nap and relax and will be much easier to cover and keep your child dry if it begins to rain. Although our stroller was at times a pain to fold up and maneuver around on the buses, it was great to have to carry around not only our exhausted children but also our diaper bags, backpacks, store purchases and more. I think you will find the stroller will be a great deal more useful for you and your child, plus it will be much easier to park it when enjoying an attraction, show or restaraunt rather than having to transport the carrier everywhere you go.
