Hello Nicole,
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for zipping by with your Disney World planning question. My, oh my, let's plan a wonderful day! I love your idea of adding Lightning Lane passes to your experience. They really do save you time by skipping the stand-by line, so you can add more fun to your zip-a-dee-doo-dah Disney Day!
Based on your description, you should need 2 day theme park tickets in order to visit Magic Kingdom one day, and Animal Kingdom on a second day. If your park tickets are added to your Pop Century vacation package reservation, they will be considered "date based tickets". In that case, you will NOT need to make a
theme park reservation. Woo hoo!
For international visitors, upon arrival in the US guests of Disney Resort hotels can
purchase Lightning Lane passes, up to 7 days in advance of your stay. To do so, just log on to the
My Disney Experience app and make your selections. For each day, you can purchase up to one Multi Pass and two Single Passes. I highly recommend purchasing a Lightning Lane
Multi Pass for your Magic Kingdom day, as there are so many attractions to choose from and maximize your value. Please note that you will get to make 3 initial selections when purchasing a Multi Pass. Then on the day of your visit, as soon as you tap in to use your first pass... you can immediate log on to the My Disney Experience app and select another Lightning Lane reservation!
So really the only planning you have to do is make Lightning Lane reservations as soon as you arrive. Also, maybe make an
advance dining reservation if you'd like to enjoy a sit down table service meal during your stay? My top dining recommendation would be
Boma - Flavors of Africa at the gorgeous Animal Kingdom Lodge. I like to make an evening reservation here for dinner on days when we plan to visit Animal Kingdom park, as it's located nearby and is a perfect ending to our "Adventure is Out There" safari day!
I'm very excited for you to be staying at Pop Century, my family loves this fun resort. Personally, I enjoy the hustle and bustle of happy families, larger than life whimsical theming, and convenience of the large cafe court that stays open late. You're going to have so much fun!
I hope this helps, Nicole. Please
visit me again any time at planDisney if I can help with any more pixie-dusted details!
See ya' real soon,
Tami
