Hey there, Jon!
I’m so thrilled to welcome you to the most magical panel on Earth…planDisney! How exciting that you’ll be heading to Walt Disney World
this summer. There’s so much to look forward to, and I just know you’re going to have an absolutely incredible time!
If you’re considering
renting an adaptive stroller for your stay, ScooterBug is Disney’s Featured Provider. One of the biggest perks of using their service is that you don’t need to be present for delivery; they’ll bring the equipment directly to your Disney Resort. You’re also free to rent from other third-party companies, but those typically require you to coordinate in-person pick-up and drop-off. I’ve used ScooterBug several times myself, and each experience has been seamless.
Disney does an incredible job of ensuring every guest can enjoy the magic in a way that works best for them, offering a wide range of thoughtful
services for all abilities. Once you arrive in the United States, I recommend registering your 10 and 12-year-old for
Disability Access Service (DAS). This can be completed through a live video chat with a Cast Member right in your
My Disney Experience app. DAS is designed for guests with developmental disabilities who may find it challenging to wait in traditional standby lines.
In addition, each park offers designated quiet spaces that are perfect for taking a break when some downtime is needed. You can easily view
a list of these locations ahead of your visit.
Just a reminder that
Guests staying at a Disney Resort this summer receive
complimentary water park admission on their check-in day! It’s the perfect way to dive right into the fun and kick off your vacation with a splash.
Jon, I hope this has been helpful and that you have an amazing trip with your family! If any other questions come up along the way, you’re always welcome to come back to planDisney…we’re happy to help!
Magic Awaits,
Kami
