I want to visit Disneyland on the 29th and DCA on the 28th, it’s my first time at Disneyland, will I have to leave early on the 28th since I have no OBB tickets? Is it only in DCA?

    Hiya Paulina!

Welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited to help you plan your first visit to Disneyland Resort! You have so many exciting things to experience and I hope you enjoy both days of your visit thoroughly. Let me see how I can help!

According to the events page, the Oogie Boogie Bash will be held on October 29, 2023, not the 28th! This is great for you as your plan of visiting Disney California Adventure Park on the 28th and then Disneyland Park on the 29th would work perfectly. According to the Hours & Events Calendar, Disneyland Park closes at midnight on the 28th and 29th. Disney California Adventure Park closes at 6 PM on the 28th and 10 PM on the 29th.

Guests with tickets to Oogie Boogie Bash can begin entering the parks at 3 PM while the party officially starts at 6 PM. If you are still in Disney California Adventure Park at 6 PM you will start finding friendly Cast Members guiding you to the exit. You will not be able to enter any attractions or enjoy the experiences if you do not have the party wristband.

Also, yes, this event is held only at Disney California Adventure Park so Disneyland Park is available for you to still enjoy if you have a Park Hopper ticket! I hope you are looking at purchasing a Park Hopper ticket as that will let you "hop" from one Park to another on the same day after 11 AM. This is of course subject to availability. Make sure to download the Disneyland app for any changes in hours and all the information you need for your trip!

While visiting Disneyland Resort make sure to enjoy Haunted Mansion Holiday which is when this fan-favorite ride transforms into something from the movie Time Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas.  It only happens at this Park this time of year and worth a visit!

Make sure to let us know if you have any questions.

I hope this helps and happy planning!
