Hi there, Kim! I am so happy that you stopped by planDisney with such a great question.
One of my family's favorite things to do is to explore all of the different resorts Walt Disney World Resort has to offer; and we have spent many days wandering around
Disney's BoardWalk taking in the sights and sounds, and of course, indulging in all of the yummy treats.
Kim, parking to visit a resort is complimentary; however, to park at a resort you must have a
confirmed dining reservation.
If you are looking to indulge your sweet tooth, I would recommend that you make a reservation at
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. While the entrees here are delicious, the real star of the show is the ice cream. Just like a 50's soda shop, you can choose from decadent milkshakes, sundaes, or classic malts. If your group is feeling especially brave, you should definitely try the infamous Kitchen Sink Sundae, 8 scoops of ice cream with all the toppings. And I mean ALL the toppings.
I also have to tell you that before we leave the BoardWalk area, my husband always stops by the
Beach Club Marketplace and grabs some Oreo Bonbons for the road. Found in the refrigerated section of the shop, these treats are his absolute favorite chocolate dessert at Walt Disney World Resort. High praise coming from a true chocoholic.
I hope that this answered your question, Kim. Please come back here to planDisney if we can help you figure out where to stay, play, or dine at Walt Disney World Resort.
See you real soon!
Sarah B.
