Hey there, Thomas! Thanks so much for visiting planDisney. May is one of my favorite times to visit
Walt Disney World Resort, and I am sure you are going to have a vacation full of memories and magic. I'm happy to help with some tips for securing an appointment at the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!
Although my in-house princesses are too old for the Boutique these days, I have the sweetest memories from their visits when they were in the prime princess demographic. It's truly a magical experience for little ones to have a royal makeover from one of Fairy Godmother's apprentices - the Cast Members do such an amazing job calming nervous kiddos and making it really special for them.
Guests may book a reservation beginning at 6:00 AM (EST) 60 days in advance of their desired date, so be sure to set an alarm so you can hopefully snag a reservation. Because there is only one location at Cinderella Castle and this experience is very popular, it does fill up quickly - but don't fret, Thomas! Plans change regularly, so if you can't initially get a booking, keep checking back to see if something opens up.
It's also possible to find a same-day appointment, although of course this can't be guaranteed. Some of my planDisney pals have reported seeing a sign outside of the Boutique offering bookings for that day when they have been in
Magic Kingdom Park. I recommend heading straight there after the park opens to see what's available!
If all of these best-laid plans don't work out, there are plenty of ways to have the princess experience beyond the boutique. Many local makeup artists in the Orlando area will come to you for a princess makeover--if you take a look on social media, you can find lots of inspiration for some unique looks inspired by favorite characters! You can also purchase royal attire in many locations around the parks, or pack your own. My girls always found great princess gowns from the Disney Store, so we would pack those and save a bit of money.
Once the royal transformation is complete, it's really fun to have a Character meal at
Cinderella's Royal Table (Magic Kingdom Park) or
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (
EPCOT). Both restaurants offer a great sit-down meal, which our family always likes during a long day in the parks. You'll also have the opportunity to meet several Disney Princesses at once and get photos and autographs. You can also find royalty greeting Guests at
Princess Fairytale Hall in the Magic Kingdom, or around World Showcase Lagoon at EPCOT.
Thomas, I hope this information is helpful and that your favorite princess gets to have the royal treatment at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique! It's been a pleasure helping with your question - please stop back anytime if our planDisney squad can help in any way!
See Ya Real Soon!
Susan
