Can I use a Visa gift card onboard a Disney cruise to pay for gratuities, excursions, etc.?

    Welcome aboard, Hannah!

My family and I use gift cards all the time for our Disney vacations. In fact, it's part of our budgeting tool!

Our local grocery store offers fuel rewards (meaning discounts on gasoline fill-ups) when we purchase gift cards there, so each month I grab a Disney Gift Card to stash away for our next Disney Cruise Line adventure. I feel like I'm creating my own cruise discount since I'm saving money. Technically, I'm saving the money on gas for the car while budgeting for the cruise, but hey, we all need to fill up the car, so I might as well save some money and plan for our cruise at the same time! If your grocery offers this, you might consider doing the same!

Once onboard, your Disney Gift Cards or other cards like a Visa gift card can be used to add to your Stateroom Account. Just swing by Guest Services and give them the gift card to add as a credit to your stateroom account. Then, when the Port Adventures, gratuities, or any other onboard charges you make are put on your account during the cruise, the credit will be used.

It's never too early to start saving for your Disney cruise, Hannah! Have fun planning this big adventure!
