Hiya Kathryn,
Welcome back to planDisney! I just returned from a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth and was fortunate enough to get spots for
Rogers: The Musical. The show is fantastic; my entire family (including my one-year-old) enjoyed it. I can’t believe that after August 31st, it will end its run at the Hyperion Theater.
Great question, Kathryn! When I was planning my trip, I also had the same one! You will be automatically assigned a show time when using the
virtual queue for Rogers: The Musical. So, if you join the virtual queue at 10:30 AM PT, you will be assigned one of the first two showtimes; if you join at 2:00 PM PT, you will be assigned to the remaining afternoon showtimes. This is definitely risky if you have dining reservations. I had a dining reservation an hour and a half after showtime and still almost missed it because of a technical glitch during the show. If you have your heart set on attending Rogers: The Musical and keeping your dining reservation, I recommend purchasing Rogers: The Musical Premium Viewing Experience. You will be able to pick your showtime and ensure the likelihood that you won’t miss your dining reservation. You also benefit from preferred seating, soda, kettle corn, and other exclusive souvenirs. For me and my family, it was well worth the price! If you are looking for Premium Viewing Package tips,
my fellow panelist, Al, has all the best advice. Availability is limited for the Premium Viewing Package, so Al’s recommendations are the best.
Before I let you go, don’t forget that Rogers: The Musical does not play every day; the show is presented on most weeks Tuesday-Saturday. Ensure that you verify it is showing on the day you plan to go so you don’t miss out on a “must-do” for you. Please come back and see us if you need anything else, Kathryn. When it comes to answering questions, “I can do this all day!”
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
