Would like to view Wishes from the beach @ Polynesian. Staying at POFQ 8/2104. What is the best way to get there/back and how soon should we arrive to get a good spot for fireworks viewing?

    Hi Amanda!

The Polynesian beach is a great place to see Wishes!

To travel to the Polynesian, the easiest way to get there from Port Orleans French Quarter will be to use Disney bus transportation from the resort to the Magic Kingdom. Once you arrive at the park (you don't need to enter), head either to the Monorail or boat transportation. If you opt for the boat, you'll arrive very near the beach.

Another option is to take a boat from Port Orleans French Quarter to Downtown Disney. At Downtown Disney, hop on a bus to the Polynesian.

At the end of the night, reverse either route above to head back to the resort. After fireworks, heading to Downtown Disney might be slightly less crowded as you will not be tied up in the crowds leaving the park after the fireworks. (Plus, maybe you can convince the family to swing by the Ghiradelli Ice Cream and Chocolate Shop for a late night treat!)

I would recommend planning to arrive at the beach about 30 to 40 minutes prior to Wishes. This should be plenty of time. If you'd like to find an open hammock to swing in during Wishes, then you may want to be there even a little earlier.

Hope you have a great time!
