is it viable to get water park tickets as it is winter? is the weather good for the use of the facilities? what are the water temperatures? are the pools heated?

Hi, Monica! Blizzard Beach is closed through January 2, 2016, for its annual refurbishment, but Typhoon Lagoon (my personal favorite) will be open for your trip. The weather during December is usually good for swimming, but I have been there in December when there was a cold snap, and I wouldn't dare swim.  I have also been there and gone swimming on New Year's Day, so you never know.  The specific weather pattern for your travel window will make all the difference. The pools are heated to about 82 degrees, but it's the air temperature when you get out of the water that is often the deciding factor for me and my family.  I would recommend waiting to add Water Park tickets once you arrive and know better what the weather has in store for you. Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
