Buongiorno Kimberly!
Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for asking a question about my favorite topic of all: Pizza!
My family and I have created a tradition where no trip to Walt Disney World Resort is complete without visiting
Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria. My Mouseketeers have been devouring delectable pizza slices from here since they first learned how to chew! And I love that you want to know more about Pizza al Taglio, the convenient pizza window next to the restaurant!
Pizza al Taglio, loosely translated, means pizza by the slice, and I have to point out that the pizza here is not the same as the pizza served at Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria. You’ll find the pizza here to be cut into squares, with the crust being a lot thicker. Thus far, Pizza al Taglio has opened seasonally; you may find it open during peak seasons such as Spring Break and holidays. Although I can’t say for sure if it will be open during your vacation, there’s no harm in checking. This yEAR, I was visiting
EPCOT at the beginning of March before Spring Break began, and the window was open in anticipation of the Spring Break crowds. It could be the same for you as you’re coming right before the
50th Anniversary Celebration!
The menu is simple, yet delightful, as it serves Pizza Pepperoni (Pepperoni pizza with tomato sauce and Mozzarella), Pizza Margherita (Cheese pizza with tomato sauce and Mozzarella), which are usually the staples, and then Cannolo Siciliano (Cannolo Siciliano with Ricotta, candied orange and chocolate), which is delicious and also offered inside its neighboring restaurant. Along with this, you will find a selection of wine, beer, cocktails, and cold beverages offered.
I do hope Pizza al Taglio is open during your vacation, and you get to
cheese the day, Kimberly!
Have an enchanting time!
Aena
