Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Arlen! I think it’s awesome that you’re planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation with your nieces in mind!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park has really blossomed over the years. Did you know this year the park will be celebrating its 20th anniversary? It has always been a place where I’ve enjoyed so many diverse African and Asian cultures that are represented in many of its attractions and exhibits.
The
Kilimanjaro Safaris are a family favorite. The expedition in the Harambe Wildlife reserve boasts at least 34 different species of exotic African wildlife! You will get to see many of the animals up-close (but still from a safe distance) from the comfort of an open-air safari vehicle.
There are some great Character Experiences and Dinosaur themed carnival fun at DinoLand U.S.A for all the Mouseketeers in your group.
Exciting new additions can be found within the new land,
Pandora- World of Avatar, that you have to experience in person! The floating mountains in the Valley of Mo’ara are beautiful and the plant life is both exotic and fragrant! A great attraction for your nieces would be the Na’vi River Journey. It’s a gentle boat tide through the valley that showcases a bioluminescent rain forest!
If you stay for the nightly showing of Rivers of Light, you will get a totally different view of the park! I hear the special effects and music will transport you through several continents and it's a show like no other at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Arlen, I hope I’ve given you a few ideas to add to your itinerary. Have a magical trip!
