We are about to venture on our second Disney cruise. We have booked one directly through Disney and the other through a travel agency. Is there an advantage to booking directly through Disney. Thanks

Hi again, Mark! Since this cruise will be your second sailing with Disney Cruise Line, you already know how much magic and excitement is in store when you board the ship! But, having sailed many times with Captain Mickey and his crew, I can promise you that no two sailings are alike, and your second journey at sea will be even more special than the first!

My family and I have booked our Disney cruises both through a Disney specialized travel agent, and directly through Disney. You are welcome to book either way. We actually prefer to book through our travel agent as her company offers some great incentives, including an onboard credit. Ask your travel agent if they offer any incentives like that as well. Many do! But, I'll tell you the best advantage that you won't want to miss if you think you'll be taking a third sailing with Disney in the next couple of years: book your next cruise while onboard this upcoming sailing.

Disney offers some amazing incentives for guests to book another cruise while onboard the ship. You'll get 10% off the next cruise, a reduced deposit, and a generous onboard credit. If you have a travel agent you like, you can link their name to your reservation made onboard and take advantage of Disney's perks as well as any that the travel agent offers. As long as you sail within two years of that booking, you'll keep these great perks. If you're unsure of which sailing to book, or want to wait for the new itineraries to be released, no problem. We just book a placeholder cruise, with a deposit down while onboard, in order to lock in those perks. Then, we call our travel agent and have them turn that placeholder cruise into a specific cruise reservation once we know which itinerary we'd like.

Have such fun on your cruise, Mark!
