Ahoy there, Sonia. Welcome to planDisney!
I’m delighted to “SEA” you’re planning your first Disney cruise vacation with your family. A short sailing is a great way to dip your toes, so to speak! I also see you reside in California and there are several itineraries to choose from that depart from San Diego. On the
Disney Cruise Line website, you can click on “Plan a Cruise” and filter your search for duration of sailing, month of travel and departure port. Short cruises leaving from San Diego in November 2026 (as you’ve indicated) can take you to explore Baja California. During select months, you can discover the Pacific Coast with a cruise that ends in Vancouver. If you’re interested in venturing to Florida or Texas for a cruise departure, you can sail to The Caribbean or Bahamas.
During the month of November, there are certain sailings that are themed “
Very Merrytime” cruises. There’s plenty of festive fun and numerous planned activities during the sailing. I enjoy seeing Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and other Disney characters dressed in their holiday outfits! Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will also make special appearances during a Very Merrytime cruise as well!
A cruise brings you to various
ports of call, but there are also lots of entertaining
activities onboard. Your children will have a blast in the
Youth Clubs, while you take some time to enjoy adult-exclusive offerings. Indulge in a delectable meal at an adults-only venue or relax with a massage at
Senses Spa & Salon.
I hope this provides a starting point as you continue to plan your first Disney cruise. Please feel free to bring more questions to us or stop by
planDisney for more tips!
Hope to SEA ya real soon,
Kiki
