Heigh-Ho Chantelle,
A Bid to Summit is a big deal and an exciting accomplishment. This year things are a little different at
Walt Disney World and for the Varsity Spirit competition event. And I being a former cheer parent and a planDisney panelist can empathize with the coordinating of a vacation and a competition.
Varsity Spirit has worked together with Walt Disney World to try and better accommodate the hiccups that have occurred and has sent their customers emails on how to navigate the conundrum. I suggest closely monitoring your email to stay up to date.
It is important Guests make a My Disney Experience profile and download the mobile app. This is your vacation hub and where Guests will link Disney Resorts Collection vacation package or Room-Only reservation as well as their Walt Disney World tickets and make Disney Park Pass Reservation. If you have not already pre-ordered your tickets through Varsity Spirits you will need to order through Walt Disney World and can do so on your family’s My Disney Experience. However, I recommend speaking to a Cast Member to see if park capacity can accommodate. So next, open your
My Disney Experience mobile app and select
the menu tab in the lower right-hand corner. Scroll down and select
Chat With Us and type in “VARSITY.” A Disney Cast Member will then confirm your family’s information. Have ready their ticket information and if you are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel the reservation number. They can check about the option to purchase tickets and potentially aid in coordinating Disney Park Pass reservations depending on availability. Cast Members are trying to help Varsity out as much as possible so please, know they are doing their best and will assist and help to the best of their ability. The Chat feature is not available 24hrs a day and again, continue to check your email for further information from Varsity.
Best of luck to your Team and I will send much Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust their routine hits and has zero deductions.
Have a Magical Day,
Amy M.
