Cheers, Rania!
Thanks for bringing your question to us here at planDisney! How fun to have a Disney Cruise Line vacation coming up! Your visit to
Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is going to be spectacular! I have a few tips to share to help make the most of your time, but first, let's get to your question.
As a fellow fan of non-alcoholic beer, I can tell you that the selection on Disney Cruise Line varies based on availability, but hopefully, you will have options. On my recent cruise, Buckler and Non-Alcoholic Heineken were available at most of the bars and some lounges on
Disney Magic. Non-Alcoholic Heineken was also available in the Disney Cruise Line Cooler Bag you can purchase onboard. You can even
pre-order Non-Alcoholic Heineken to be delivered to your stateroom through Onboard Gifts.
On Lookout Cay, while zero-proof non-alcoholic drink offerings are available at all bar locations, at the time of my visit, there weren't any non-alcoholic beers offered. I did a little research to see if these offerings have changed but to no avail. As an alternative, I highly recommend the Aqua Tonic (zero-proof), which is mixed on-site at Reef & Wreck and other bar locations, if you are interested in a refreshing beverage that isn't a frozen smoothie.
With all this in mind, I reached out to a Disney Cruise Line Cast Member, Adelle, to confirm your backup plan! She helpfully told me that yes, you could purchase a Disney Cruise Line Cooler Bag with your preferred beverages on the ship and take it with you to Lookout Cay. The beverages must be sealed when disembarking the ship. Keep in mind that any unopened containers may not be brought back on the ship.
Now that we have your beverage situation worked out, Rania, let's talk about enjoying them while looking at the stunning beach and water of Lookout Cay! If snorkeling is on your agenda, you will find lots of brightly colored marine life to greet you in the reef areas. For a landlubber activity, take some time to explore the Discovery Trail nature trail to learn about some of the area's native plants and creatures. Don't forget to watch Rush! A Junkanoo Celebration at the Goombay Cultural Center for an exhilarating peek into this Bahamian celebration. One final tip: there is a fabulous picture spot on the pier (from the ship to Lookout Cay) just before you get to Mabrika Cove, where you can get a photo looking back at the ship surrounded by crystal blue water, so don't miss it!
I hope this information helps you create a wonderful vacation, Rania! Let us know if you have other questions as you plan.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
