I have a vaction planned not far from Orlando May 15th - May 21 2009. I had planned on possibly visiting the park. 1. How do I get there by car? I'm not familiar with FL....

    Hi Dee,

Without knowing exactly where you're coming from or which of Disney's four theme parks you'll be visiting, I can't give you specific driving instructions. However, I can tell you that the signage in the area around Disney World is quite good. If you're anywhere in the general vicinity of WDW, you should be able to follow the signs to get where you need to be. Also, the front desk of nearly any central Florida hotel should be able to provide you with a map and specific route instructions.

Despite all that, I still like to be prepared in advance. To do this, I would use an online routing tool such as Mapquest or GoogleMaps. Look for the button that says "Directions." Type in the address of your starting point on one side and then your destination on the other side. For destination points at WDW, you can actually be quite general and it will still work. For example on Mapquest, if I'm looking for directions to the Magic Kingdom, I can type in "Magic Kingdom" and "Lake Buena Vista, FL" and it will find the Magic Kingdom parking lot. By doing this, you'll have your own set of custom maps and directions.

    Have a great trip!
