I am vacationing with my husband and two young daughters, staying at the Animal Kingdom resort. I would like to book a character breakfast at Epcot. Approximately how long does it takes to travel from the resort hotel to Epcot?

    Hi, Elaine!

I always give myself an hour to go from my resort to a dining reservation.  It may not always take you that long, but especially if you are using resort transportation, you have to account for additional stops or guests that are slower getting on and off transportation due to mobility issues or traveling with strollers and small children.  You also want to make sure you are through the turnstile at EPCOT and not running like crazy to your restaurant!  I can tell you from experience that it is not fun to arrive at EPCOT five minutes before a dining reservation and have to make your way to the restaurant.  I've done it in the middle of summer - talk about putting your deodorant to the test!

An hour should give you enough time to arrive without rushing.  If you are traveling at an especially busy time, you can add another 15 minutes, just to be safe.

Have a great time on your upcoming trip!
