Hi, Suzanne! I'm going to make a giant leap of faith and presume you are talking about using
Disney Vacation Club points. My fingers are crossed that I am actually answering the question the way you need it answered.
One of the great reasons to be a DVC member is because of the flexibility you have when using your points. You can actually book a variety of destinations, including other
Walt Disney World destinations. This includes some of the resorts that aren't DVC resorts.
Disney's Contemporary Resort is one of the Disney Collection Resorts where you may be able to use your DVC points. Starting at 57 points per night in 2018, the classic A-frame building is located right next door to
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, which is a DVC property. Disney's Contemporary Resort has the convenience of the monorail running directly through the hotel, which makes it easy peasy to get into the Magic Kingdom and Epcot.
The
booking window to book any of the Disney Collection resorts is 11 months in advance, and you can book up to a day in advance. There is a $95 one time transaction fee to book a non-DVC resort, including this one.
Also, don't forget your rule of four. You have to make this reservation prior to the last four months of your use year.
Have a magical time planning your vacation, Suzanne!
Anna
