Heigh-Evelyn,
Welcome back to planDisney, it’s always a pleasure to hEAR from returning Guests. It seems your trip is just a couple of months away and I am excited for all of you to experience
Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration, which will be celebrated at all four Walt Disney World Theme Parks. And a great question, you have made your Walt Disney World Resort reservation, purchased tickets and made Disney Park Pass reservation but how do you enter the Walt Disney World Theme Parks?
Guests with a Walt Disney World Resort reservation should get to know their My Disney Experience online and
mobile app account. This is your vacation hub and will truly make your Walt Disney World vacation Practically Perfect. Here you can see all your Walt Disney World tickets and link them to the appropriate Guests if it hasn’t already been done. Guests can create a Family & Friends list which allows a seamless collaboration of the itinerary you have planned for your Walt Disney World visit. Walt Disney World tickets can be accessed three ways, a Disney MagicBand, a Keys to the World Card or creating a digital pass through the
Disney MagicMobile service.
Both the Keys to the World Card and digital pass are complimentary options for Guests. A Keys to the World Card is a hard copy ticket adorned with Mickey or one of the Fabulous Five. Guests can receive these tickets upon check-in, by visiting the Front Desk of their Walt Disney World Resort, or at any of the Guest Relations/Ticket Counters located outside of all four Walt Disney World Theme Parks. Another option is creating a digital pass via the Disney MagicMobile service through your My Disney Experience mobile app. Guests with eligible iPhones, Apple Watch or Google Pay enabled Android phones can design and create a digital pass to be stored on their device.
Guests can share the digital pass with others in their party if they have similar devices, more specifically those with Apple devices. And if you put your Apple device in Express Mode, you will not need to open your digital wallet every time to find the ticket. Both the Keys to the World Card and digital pass will simply be scanned at the touch points for entry into the parks.
And finally, many Guests prefer using the ever-so-popular Disney MagicBand. This is a wristband that comes in a variety of colors and designs allowing Guests to show a little more of their Disney Side. The Disney MagicBand, just like the Key to the World Card and digital pass, is tapped on the touch point to gain entrance into the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. Disney MagicBands can be purchased on shopDisney or at many of the shops found all around Walt Disney World. Once purchased, they are linked and assigned to a Guest through your My Disney Experience. Because you are so close to your arrival date, and if this is the route you would like to go, I recommend waiting until your arrival to find your practically perfect Disney MagicBand and in the meantime, using a Key to the World Card for entrance. Once you purchase a Disney MagicBand you can follow this link to link your Disney MagicBand or a Cast Member, at the location you purchased or Guest Services, can assist you with linking.
I hope this information has helped and feel free to reach out to us for any further curiouser and curiouser questions you may have. I hope your stay is filled with many magical and memorable moments.
Have a Practically Perfect Day,
Amy M.
