    I am on vacation in Orlando this week I was wondering if it rains while we are at Magic Kingdom do they shut down the rides . Do they have a rain policy ? Mary Jane

    Hi Mary Jane,

    I am so jealous of you being in Walt Disney World this week! I will just have to wait until August for my trip!

    The parks will operate on most rainy days which is why an umbrella or poncho is very handy especially in the summer. Some attractions that are outside will close but there are plenty of other ones to enjoy.

    The only time a rain policy comes into play is if they cannot open a park. Once a park is open, it is up to the guest to decide where to go for the day.
