We have a vacation at Disney World coming up soon. My son have severe food allergies and I wanted to know if it was ok to bring a few outside foods/snacks for him and if I needed note from his doctors to do so.

    Hi Elise!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your Walt Disney World vacation will be here before you know it. How exciting!

Guests are more than welcome to bring snacks and food items that do not require heating into the theme parks. You should not need a note from your son's physician in order to do so. Glass containers (with the exception of small ones like baby food jars) are not permitted. If you decide to enjoy a meal inside the theme parks, Table-Service restaurants and select Quick-Service restaurants do an excellent job of accommodating special dietary requests. In fact, I have a food allergy and have always been able to talk to the chef at Table-Service restaurants regarding what items I need to avoid.

Guests may also bring coolers that are not larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high into the parks. Loose or dry ice is not allowed inside the coolers; however, reusable ice packs are permitted.

I hope this information has been helpful, Elise. Let us know if you have any new questions. We would love to assist you further in planning a magical trip!

    See ya real soon!
