Thanks for swimming by planDisney, Margaret!
It's always a delight to see you here.
Hooray for making a splash at a Disney Vacation Club Resort! One of my family's favorite things to do during our Walt Disney World Resort vacation is to enjoy our Disney Resort hotel pool.
Margaret, you're not asking for too much at all, and I'm happy to share my favorite Disney Vacation Club Resort pools with an excellent slide, zero-depth entry, and a fun splash pad for the little ones nearby! I'll also add that all Disney Resort hotel pools offer life jackets in adult and child sizes, should anyone in your party require them.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas – KidaniOut of the
pools at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas, I quite prefer the Samawati Springs Pool, located just a short walk away at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani! It features an exciting 128-foot waterslide and zero-depth entry. This pool is great because it has a mini slide for the smaller kids in your party and a bigger slide for the older Mouseketeers. When my kids were scared to try the larger slide, they started with the smaller one first, and once they became more comfortable, they rushed toward the bigger slide! Speaking of the bigger slide, it's a lot of fun because it feels like you're surrounded by lush greenery and are sliding through the jungle.
Nearby, you'll find a lounge and bar that offer refreshments and snacks. This pool area includes the Uwanja Camp and the Samawati Trading Co. splash area. It has three zones for kids of all ages, and your smaller kiddos will love the Observation Station, where small Mouseketeers can climb through cargo crates, unscramble animal image puzzles, and frolic around and play in the water as it gently splashes them. It is genuinely themed to perfection, and my kids loved playing there!
Disney's Polynesian Village ResortThe relaxed atmosphere is unmatched here, and how can it not be? With
Pineapple Lanai located next door, where Guests can enjoy the most refreshing cup of DOLE Whip®! The
Lava Pool features a zero-depth entry point, an incredible 142-foot-long volcano waterslide, and nearby, you'll find the Kiki Tikis Splash Play Area, which is spectacular. This play area is netted and has almost a jungle-gym feel with fun tiki details. I've gone up with my kids to help them, and for research purposes, of course, and even I had a fabulous time playing there.
Disney's Beach Club ResortAlthough there isn't a splash pad per se here, I would be remiss not to mention the magic of
Stormalong Bay. This beachside water park (yes, I said water park) has a life-sized shipwreck replica where kids can slide down a 230-foot-long waterslide, being one of the highest hotel slides at Walt Disney World Resort. There's a lazy river, although I need to tell you it is on the deeper side and three whirlpool areas. Smaller kiddos can wade and play in the gently sloping sandy beach area and at the Shipwreck Pool, which also features a miniature waterslide. My smaller Mouseketeers absolutely fell in love with the pool here as they were able to build sandcastles, and I was able to soak and massage my achy feet there, too!
Whichever Disney Vacation Club Resort hotel you decide to play at, I'm sure you'll have a
fin-tastic time!
Wishing you an enchanting visit, Margaret!
