Welcome back to planDisney, Brittney! We’re always happy to help with your Disney planning questions!
If you’re anything like me, you’re in the parks from rope drop to closing, which doesn’t leave much time (or energy) for laundry. And let’s be honest...after a few days of Florida heat, those park outfits start piling up fast. Plus, I’ve definitely had my fair share of Mickey Ice Cream Bar mishaps!
Walt Disney World makes it easy with
valet laundry service. If you’d like to have your clothes cleaned for you, simply select “Housekeeping” on your in-room phone to arrange a pickup. You’ll find a laundry bag and a price list in your room closet, where you can mark your selections. Just like having your own Fairy Godmother, Housekeeping will whisk your clothes away and return them the next day, fresh and clean without you lifting a finger! If you’re staying at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, Disney’s Old Key West Resort, or Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, you’ll need to drop off your laundry with
Bell Services before 9:00 AM.
I checked with Guest Services, and while prices are subject to change, here’s a ballpark idea of what to expect: laundered socks are about $2.50, pajamas around $7.00, and a t-shirt will run about $5.00. As for detergent, they weren’t able to confirm a specific brand, but it’s likely the same proprietary formula Disney uses for resort linens, which is typically fragrance-free. If you have sensitivities or preferences, I’d recommend checking with a housekeeping manager when you arrive to see if they can provide more details.
If decide to handle the laundry yourself, all Disney resorts have self-service laundry rooms equipped with washers and dryers. Most accept credit or debit cards, though a few still take coins. When I recently did a load, I used LaundryView, an app that lets you check machine availability before you haul your laundry over, which is a big time saver!
Brittney, I hope this helps wash away any worries! Wishing you a magical, stress-free trip, and may all your Mickey-shaped snacks make it to your mouth (and not your shirt)!
