Aloha Ana!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We're glad you stopped by with your question.
Tonga Toast is my husband's "can't miss" breakfast treat when visiting the
Walt Disney World Resort. Guests can satisfy those Tonga Toast cravings at
Kona Cafe (Table-Service restaurant) and
Capt. Cook's (Quick-Service restaurant) which are both conveniently located at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.
When it comes to substituting items at dining locations, I've always found the Cast Members try their absolute best to ensure Guests have a magical dining experience. That being said, it is up to the discretion of each dining location. We usually dine at Kona Cafe for breakfast when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort and quite frequently ask to make substitutions. For example, I always order the Two Eggs-Any Style entree and have always been allowed to substitute the Home-fried Potatoes for the Creamy Grits with Smoked Gouda. So yummy! At multiple dining locations on property, my daughter has frequently asked to change out an item for fruit and has always been allowed to do so. If you have a dietary restriction or just simply dislike bacon, I would not hesitate to ask if you can substitute the bacon for fruit. I find it never hurts to ask and believe Cast Members try their best to accommodate requests.
I hope this information has been helpful, Ana. Let us know if you have any new questions. We would love to assist you further in planning a magical trip!
Bon Appétit,
Jodie
