we usually stay at Port Orleans Riverside in the royal princess rooms but are thinking about staying at Old Key West this summer. With the fun and sun discount OKW is less expensive then the royal princess room. Any advice on comparisons of the two?

    Hi Russell,

It sounds like you have a great tradition going on! It’s every kid’s dream to stay in one of Disney’s Royal Rooms, and I love that you return year after year.

Disney’s Old Key West Resort is quintessential Southern comfort. From the hammocks swinging in the breeze to the homestyle cooking at Olivia’s Cafe - everything hails back to the easy-breezy romance of the Florida Keys. Conch Flats offers you plenty of room, plenty of amenities (from full-sized kitchens to boat transportation to Disney Springs), and plenty of relaxation!

Since you are a frequent Guest at Disney’s Port Orleans - Riverside, you know that this Resort is also chock full of Southern romance. From horse-drawn carriage rides to a 3-plus acre hideaway pool, everything hails back to a summer Louisiana night. Now, Princesses reign supreme at this Resort, and I think that Princess-Chef Tiana must have had something to do with the menu at Boatwright’s Dining Hall. My husband and I ate there a few weeks ago, and we agreed that the Jambalaya and the Nashville Hot Chicken were straight out of her N’awlins restaurant!

Russell, you can’t go wrong with either choice. I wish you much Pixie Dust while making your decision.
