    We usually go for the opening day of Stars Wars Weekends. They have limited edition pens for sale that morning. We may not be able to make the first weekend this year, and I wanted to know if they divide the pens up so they are available each weekend.

    Obviously I don't work for Disney, so it is hard to know what policies they will hold every year. But of late what I have found is that some of the more popular merchandise that is specially brought in for the Star Wars Weekends is on a first come, first served basis. So you really have to operate on the assumption that they will not hold the pins back if sales are robust that first weekend.  On rare occasion, however, they have had some popular items either rationed out throughout the scheduled weekends, or simply not ready in time for that first weekend. So you have a few ways to go about this;

    • Find a friend who is going the first week and ask them to get some of them for you
    • Wait until you get there and hope that some remain, or that they were rationed out through the weekends, or that they were not ready for sale on that first weekend

    I know that is not a definitive answer, but the truth is your only sure way of getting them is to find someone going and working with them. In any other instance you are taking your chances.
