Hiya, Kay, and welcome to planDisney! I'm delighted that you'll soon be walking down the middle of Main Street, USA. Having your personal walking device will make that stroll all the more magical, so let's look at ways to keep it safe on your
Disneyland Resort visit.
I spoke to a fast-walking Cast Member who said you are welcome to bring your walker along, but he said you should not use a lock to attach any mobility device or stroller to a stationary object like a fence or bench. He told me those areas often need to be straightened and rearranged by Cast Members to keep pathways safe and clear for guests.
If you're concerned someone might accidentally mistake your walker for theirs, I suggest adding a few festive touches to your magical steed! Since the
Holidays at Disneyland Resort are in full swing, wrap some tinsel around your walker to make it uniquely yours. My dad wrote his phone number in a hidden spot on his walker so he could easily identify it in case it went missing, so that's something else to consider.
The Cast Member also said that most attractions will have an area where guests can leave walkers and canes while they ride, typically near the boarding or disembarking area. My tip is to check with a Cast Member at the attraction's entrance to see the specific procedure. This sounds like a good option because you'll still have your device during your time in line.
I visited during the holidays last year, and I enjoyed
World of Color - Season of Light at Disney California Adventure Park. One of the best ways to watch this joyous spectacular is to join the
Virtual Queue at noon on your
Disneyland mobile app. Bring some tissues because this show made me feel all the feels!
Kay, I hope your upcoming visit is the heartbeat of a holiday! Please
stop by planDisney anytime; I'll have a mug of hot chocolate waiting.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
