Hi, Eileen! Before our younger daughter hit her magical Disney-height milestones, we frequently utilized the
Rider Switch system, especially to ride Soarin’ with our older daughter. All you have to do is bring your entire party, including the child who does not meet the height requirement, to the entrance of the attraction and let the Cast Member know you need to use Rider Switch. The first party will enter the normal queue for the attraction while the second party waits. When the first party exits, the second adult may enter with another Guest to experience the attraction.
There is no restriction on the Rider Switch pass regarding a specific time that the pass must be used; only that it must be used within the day in which it was issued. When my family used the Rider Switch system to go
Soarin', we usually would all take a ride on
Living with the Land between our Soarin' flights. While you are waiting with your little one, there are several attractions that feature a play area or exhibits at the exit of the ride, such as the Chevrolet Showroom at the conclusion of
Test Track. Our little one loved to explore all of the fast cars on display while her big sister went for a ride in her own fast car. These areas are perfect for those times that it would be more beneficial to go ahead and use the Rider Switch pass instead of returning later.
I hope you have a wonderful vacation, Eileen. Please let us know if you have any further questions as you continue to plan your trip.
