Hi there, Angela.
Welcome to planDisney! I'm excited to hEAR you're thinking of visiting
The Most Magical Place on Earth soon. There's so much to look forward to this year, including the
50th Anniversary Celebration festivities and exciting new additions set to arrive soon. I don't know about you, but I cannot wait to experience
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind this summer. I just know Disney's Imagineers will blow our minds yet again!
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is such a fun
Disney Resorts Collection hotel! My husband and I like to venture over there during the holiday season to look at the over-the-top light displays Guests put together. The grounds are covered in towering trees, and we always see deer or other wildlife when we're there. It's so beautiful! You'll feel as if you've been transported to a forest somewhere far, far away. Plus, there's so much to do on site, you could make your stay there a full vacation of its own!
I completely understand you wanting to bring your furry companion with you. Pets are family in our house too, so it was always hard to leave our sweet dogs behind on our magical vacations. If I had a camper like you, I would absolutely want to bring them with me.
I am happy to report that furry friends are welcome to join you on your camping adventure as long as all conditions of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground's
Pet-Friendly Policy are met. In a nutshell, the policy states that pets must be confined in the interior of your climate-controlled camper or kept on a leash at all times, but they are not permitted in pop-up campers or tents. Just make sure to
request a pet-friendly loop when booking your Resort reservation online. I recommend you read the full policy closer to the time of booking, but it sounds like you'll be good to go.
If you don't want your feline friend to be alone in your camper while you're in the theme parks, you could look into pet day care at
Best Friends Pet Care, a pet resort located right on Walt Disney World Resort property. She can enjoy playtime, snacks, activities, and more that even Marie would approve of while you are off to Neverland. They're truly the cat's meow!
Angela, I hope knowing you can bring your cat with you puts your mind at ease and gets you even more excited for the possibility of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Please stop back by planDisney with any further questions that arise while planning your trip. We'd be happy to help!
Wishing you a PURRfect vacation,
Alyssa
