Welcome to planDisney, Russ, and Welcome Home!
I am always glad to chat with a fellow
Disney Vacation Club Member about my favorite feature of being a Member, the flexibility! We can stretch our Vacation Points like Elastigirl to help us plan incredible vacations. Let's save the day and look at your
Disneyland Resort adventure.
My most recent visit to the
Disneyland Hotel was this past December. The unique theming, proximity to
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure, and access to the delicious concoctions at
Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar make this hotel the perfect destination. In order to use Vacation Points to book a Disney Collection hotel, you would need to convert your points into
Reservation Points. These have the same value as your Vacation Points but can be used to book Disney Collection Hotels. Be aware, there is currently a $95 transaction fee, prices are subject to change, and once points are converted, they cannot be changed back into Vacation Points. On the
Points Chart, only standard-size rooms are listed (with varying views); it would include one King Bed, two Queen Beds, or two Queen Beds and a Day Bed. These rooms sleep a maximum of five adults. They are a single room with a bathroom connected. I spoke with a Disney Vacation Club advisor, and if you need a larger room they recommended you could call
Member Services and attempt to book a One or Two Bedroom Family Suite at the Disneyland Hotel with the DVC cash reservation, but they did say these types of rooms are very popular and do not often become available. I hope this helps you decide where to stay with your superfamily during your vacation to Disneyland Resort.
Thank you for visiting planDisney. We are here to assist with all your Disney Vacation Club planning needs!
Enjoy making magical memories.
