If we will be using the Disney Dining plan.... Are we required to tip the requested amount or can we tip more or less?

    Hello Michelle,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, we are here to help with any of your Walt Disney World vacation planning questions and happy to do so. When it comes to Disney's Dining Plan, you are correct, gratuity is an extra cost. Guests are able to tip accordingly and typically a suggested tip of 18% and 20% is stated on the bill. However, Guests are able to tip, these hardworking Cast Members, as much as they like and can do so with cash, credit card, Disney Gift Card, or if your Disney MagicBand has charging privileges, then that is another option. For parties of 6 or more, an 18% gratuity is included in your bill.

If I can be of any further pixie dusted assistance feel free to ask and may your upcoming stay at Walt Disney World be filled with many magical and memorable moments.

Meet the Panelist: Amy, Virginia

I am a Dreamer who has always believed dreams are meant to be the path to your future. Walt Disney, I believe, felt the same way, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Disney has always been proof that endless imagination and the passion to make them come to fruition is possible. I will never be to old for Disney, it is home to all of us Dreamers.
