When using the dining plan, can a 17yr old (listed as child)) order a regular Entree or does he or she have to order from kids menu?

    Hey there, Joy!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are so glad you stopped by with your question!

Dining plans are a great way to experience several of the amazing restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort while having the majority of your dining expenses paid for before your trip begins. Children between the ages of 3 and 9 must order from a children's menu, when available; however, a 17-year-old is considered an adult on the Disney Dining Plan and can order an entree from the regular menu.

Guests may begin making dining reservations 180 days in advance by calling Disney Dining at (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463, by going online or via My Disney Experience mobile app. Many of my favorite Table-Service restaurants can book up several months in advance, so I recommend booking your dining reservations as soon as your booking window opens.

I hope this information is helpful to you, Joy. Please stop by again with any new questions or if you would like dining recommendations. We would love to assist you again in planning a magical trip for your family!

    Bon Appétit,
    Jodie
