When using the dining plan, do you have to select a desert with your meal or can it be saved for a later purchase elsewhere?

    Hi Patricia,

When you're on the Disney Dining Plan and a dessert comes with your meal, you have to get the dessert with the rest of your meal. You cannot keep a "partial credit" to redeem for a dessert at a different time or location.

You would, however, be welcome to ask for your dessert to be boxed so that you can bring it with you to eat later. This obviously wouldn't work for ice cream, but many folks do ask for a piece of cake or similar items to be boxed. You can eat it later, or even save it for the next day's breakfast. Yum!

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
