When using your dining credit at a sit down dinner, do you have to tell them that you are using your dining credits or is it just assumed that you are? Since I reserved spots with a credit card, I wanted to be clear if I needed to alert our host/waiter.

    Hi Emily,

What a fabulous question which can be tricky for guests!

When you arrive at your restaurant for your meal, your server will ask you if you will be using the Disney Dining Plan or any other discounts. If you answer yes, then your dining credits will be deducted from your balance. Simply use your MagicBand to pay for your meal using your dining credits.

As for holding your reservation with a credit card, this is done at select restaurants. This credit card will only be charged if you do not cancel your Advance Dining Reservation according to the restaurant's cancellation policy.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
