We are using DCL transfers to travel from the WL to Port Canaveral in November. What time will the bus pick us up in the morning to take us to the cruise terminal? Will we be there in time to enjoy our ship for most of that day?

Welcome back, Kristen! As I mentioned in my answer to your previous question, pick-up times vary based on how many other guests at your resort will be using Disney Cruise Line's ground transfers to the ship that day. You'll receive notice in your resort room the night before with details on pick up times for both your luggage and your family. Normally, the luggage is picked up early, around 8:00 a.m., and guests are picked up anywhere from 11 - 12:30, again depending on how many cruisers are there. Be sure to keep a day bag with you that contains anything you'll need for the day, as you won't see your luggage again until later that afternoon in your stateroom.

The good news is that even if you're on the later end of the pick up time, the ride to Port Canaveral is only about an hour long, and once you're there, you should breeze through security and check-in, as other guests will have already boarded, so there won't be much wait. Then, you can make your way to lunch on the ship and begin to explore! You'll have until late afternoon to explore, settle into your stateroom and enjoy the ship before it's time to head to the safety drill. Once that is over, the vacation can truly begin! Head up to the Adventures Away Party on the pool deck right after the drill so you can get a great spot up near the stage for the deck party. Grab a fruity drink, some streamers and wave goodbye to Port Canaveral as you head out to sea with Captain Mickey and his crew!

    Have fun planning, Kristen!
