    I will be using a combo of credit card/Disney gift cards on our cruise. I know I can add the gift cards either by calling c/s or guest services onboard but is there a way to specify to first use the gift cards to pay for purchases before the credit card?

    Can you believe you are about to cast off on a magical vacation aboard Disney Cruise Line? The crew is ready to welcome you aboard to spoil and pamper you while you enjoy minute of your sailing! I contacted Disney Cruise Line about your question and will share with you the information I was given so you know your options. Since you have already linked your credit card during your online check-in, your charges will most likely go onto that card. My advice is to head to Guest Services as soon as possible after boarding especially if you haven't loaded your Disney Gift Cards to your onboard account. I'm sure the crew member at Guest Services will be able to advise you on if the system will recognize the gift card funds before the credit card. We always turn in a handful of gift cards on our sailings, and the onboard charges do come off the gift cards first. It's been the same circumstance when we've had shipboard credits as well. Another idea is to go with the cash option instead of linking a credit card. For your length of sailing, $300 must be put down at check-in for your onboard spending account. This will guarantee that no charges will go on your credit card only on the gift cards and the cash you put down.
