Have you used any of the in room babysitting companies before? Being a single parent, I would really like to spend an evening dining and shopping by myself which does not happen often. Not sure about leaving her with someone I don't know.

Hi again Paquita! As a fellow single mom, I totally understand the need to have a few hours to yourself! I have not personally used a babysitting service, but I know of several people, including my fellow Disney Mom Kay, who have and were very pleased. There are two good options for you to consider.

Six Disney Resorts offer Children's Activity Centers. They are the Animal Kingdom Lodge, Polynesian Resort, Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, Beach and Yacht Club and the Swan and Dolphin Resorts. This is a fun option because there are usually other children there that your daughter can play with. Opening hours vary between 4 pm and 5:30 pm, and all are open until midnight, leaving you lots of time to yourself. And they'll give her dinner and snacks too!

If you'd prefer to have her stay in your resort room, then Kid's Nite Out (407-828-0920), an independent, certified and insured childcare services provider, would work well.

Hope this helps Paquita! Write back with anything else that you're wondering about! You and your daughter are going to have an amazing vacation!
