Christmas on Main Street; Magic Kingdom

    I used to go to the grand Floridian every Christmas and would buy a treat from the gingerbread house. I moved away from Florida would like to be able to get one of the treats shipped. Is that a possibility?

    We are so happy to hear from you, and I hope that you’re having a wonderful Christmas season and that you’re enjoying all of the magic that this season brings. 

    Due to the refurbishments that are currently underway at the Grand Floridian Resort, Jennifer, the famous Gingerbread House is not inhabiting the Grand’s lobby this year. The lack of gingerbread-presence at the Grand Floridian is definitely noticeable, and I hope we see its return in coming years. I deeply miss the cherished tradition of getting a gingerbread cookie at the Grand. 

    This being said, there will be no way for you to get a Grand Floridian gingerbread cookie this year; however, I have a great solution for you! Almost 10 years ago, the Disney Parks Blog released a recipe for the Grand Floridian’s gingerbread cookie! Here is the recipe link for you, Jennifer! I hope you can make do with this recipe for your Christmas tradition this year!
