Hello! If I used the Florida resident discount for a 3-day pass, how long do I have to use the days? Also, what is the price difference between a 3-days on this Florida resident pass versus a standard 2-day pass? Thanks!

    Welcome to planDisney, Kristi!

I’m Shantel and I will be more than happy to help you decide what your best ticket option will be. There are so many factors to consider when finalizing your vacation plans so let’s run through a few.

First, when are you planning on visiting Walt Disney World Resort? Theme park tickets vary in price a bit depending on when you are planning your trip. You can check out the pricing calendar here and see which month(s) offer the lowest price. You can also use this calendar to check park hours and events before your visit.

The next thing to consider is how long you want to visit. I do see that you are considering a 2 or 3-day ticket. I recommend taking advantage of your Florida Resident offers and booking a room in one of the Disney Resorts. You could even break up your park days and hang by the pool between theme park visits. Depending on which ticket you select, will determine how long your ticket is valid. Typically, you have a few extra days to visit the parks after the date of your first park visit.

Again, the price will differ depending on the number of days you plan to visit and the time of year. I do see that the Florida Resident ticket has an approximate savings of 40% on a 4-day ticket and 30% on a 3-day ticket compared to the non-Florida Resident price. That sounds like a great deal to me. Between us, that would be my selling point to my husband and the justification for all the Disney merch I’d bring back home.

Before I go I do want to point out one other option you have as a Florida Resident. If you are looking to experience Walt Disney World for months to come, you may want to consider a Florida Resident Annual Pass. Plus, as a Florida Resident, you can purchase your pass and partake in the Florida Resident Monthly Payment Program. In my household an annual pass would mean less merch but more park time, so I’ll take it!

Kristi, I hope this helps guide you down the right path and helps you decide which option would work best for your upcoming trip. Please be sure to let us know if there’s anything else we can help with.

    See ya real soon!
