My wife and I have enjoyed bringing our kiddos to Walt Disney World since they were toddlers. Those early years are so special because kids change so quickly. Therefore, they experience the magic differently on each trip (which means, so do we parents!). So prepare for some "laughin' splashin' satisfactual fun" as a family.
There are plenty of rides that are practically perfect for a two-year-old to enjoy. Magic Kingdom Park is my favorite park for young kids. Here are some attractions in Magic Kingdom that don't have a height restriction and also allow you to put your little one on your lap:
"it's a small world" - a slow, gentle boat ride that takes you through delightful scenes showcasing and celebrating the world's various cultures.
Warning: prepare to get the song stuck in your head for the next 37 years.
Dumbo the Flying Elephant - an aerial carousel ride that allows you to control the height of the elephant.
Tip: There's a wonderful play area that your child can explore and enjoy about halfway through the line. My kids absolutely love it!
Peter Pan's Flight - an aerial pirate ship ride that takes you through the magical scenes of this classic story.
Tip: Go straight to this attraction at park opening or book a
Lightning Lane Multi-Pass to avoid the long queue.
Jungle Cruise - a hilarious boat ride across the exotic rivers of Asia, Africa, and South America.
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh - a whimsical trip through the Hundred Acre Woods in an oversized Honey Pot.
Tip: The queue for this ride has lots of fun interactive features for children to enjoy.
Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid - an underwater adventure taking you through the story of the Little Mermaid.
There's also Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, and Prince Charming Regal Carousel.
If you're planning on visiting other parks during your trip, here are some suggestions:
EPCOT: The Seas with Nemo & Friends, Living with the Land, Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros, and Spaceship Earth.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park: Na’vi River Journey and Kilimanjaro Safaris.
Disney's Hollywood Studios: Toy Story Mania! and Alien Swirling Saucers.
It's always best to check with a Cast Member to make sure having a child on your lap is safe. But you should be ok on all the rides mentioned above.
