I used 1 day of my 4-day ticket. If I no-show for my next reservation, is that day forfeited and I now only have 2 days left?

Welcome to planDisney, Maricel! Life can be unpredictable, and sometimes plans change, especially when it comes to a visit to the Disneyland Resort. Fortunately, your theme park tickets include a bit of built-in flexibility to help you adjust if needed, so your magical adventure can still be right around the corner.

Here’s some good news: While Magic Key passholders are subject to a no-show policy if they miss a theme park reservation, standard Disneyland theme park tickets are treated a bit differently. As long as the ticket hasn’t been used to scan into Disneyland or Disney California Adventure, you can modify your reservation without a penalty. At this time, there is no fee for missing a reservation attached to a standard theme park ticket.

That said, if you know ahead of time that you won’t be able to visit on your scheduled date, I recommend updating your reservation as soon as possible. You have until 11:59 PM the night before your visit to make changes. To modify your reservation, open the Disneyland app and tap the “+” symbol at the bottom of the screen. Then select “Make or Modify Park Reservations.” A web browser will open, where you’ll be able to find your existing reservation and change it to a new date. It’s quick and easy! Just be sure to check the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar ahead of time to confirm your desired date is still open for booking.

Another helpful planning tip: most standard Disneyland Resort tickets are valid for 16 months from the purchase date. You can confirm the exact expiration date in the confirmation email sent when you purchased your tickets. Or, check the Disneyland app by tapping the three-line menu in the lower right corner and selecting “Tickets and Passes.” Your tickets will appear on the next screen, along with the expiration date listed just below the barcode. If you’re still unsure, a friendly Cast Member on the Tickets phone line will be happy to assist you.

I hope this information brings you peace of mind, Maricel! Please don’t hesitate to reach out again with any other questions. We’re always happy to help at planDisney.

Wishing you a practically perfect day,
    David
