Hiya, Lori, and welcome to planDisney! Congratulations on joining the annual passholder family! I love the
perks and benefits of being a passholder, but what makes me smile the biggest is when I pick up a new
passholder magnet. I'm as happy as Hei Hei when I see those whimsical characters on my bumper. Let's look at how the expiration date works with your pass.
I'm not sure I like talking about expiration dates! But I suppose it will help you plan your most magical year. I chatted with a fabulous Cast Member who said your pass will expire 365 days from its first use. The catch is that leap year can come into play, so the best way to check is to look at your
My Disney Experience mobile app.
Tap the Tickets and Passes tile and scroll across the top of the next screen until you see your annual pass. Under the barcode will be your expiration date. You can use your pass to scan into a theme park until midnight on that date. I think you should plan to do precisely that to squeeze in every second of pixie dust!
Remember that you can
renew your pass and typically receive a discount 60 days before that expiration date and up to 30 days past the expiration. I renewed mine last year when my 60-day window opened, and I'm so glad I did. Pass prices increased the next week, so I plan to always renew as soon as I can.
Did you know that once your annual pass is active and linked to your mobile app, any discounts on food or merchandise will automatically be applied when you place a
mobile order? I recently ordered a Caramel Butter Bar from
Karamell-Küche in EPCOT, and my discount was deducted like magic. I wonder if calories are discounted too...
Lori, I hope your next
Walt Disney World Resort visit is fabulous. Enjoy that annual pass! Please
stop by planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
