Hi Ron,
Welcome aboard planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your important question. I am a checklist person when it comes to planning my vacations, so I can appreciate you wanting to get everything in spit-spot shape as Mary Poppins likes to say.
First, you will not need documentation to book your cruise, but you will need it to
complete your online check-in and, of course, to board the ship. Once you make your reservation, the travel requirements may be found in
My Reservations under the Already Booked tab.
The exact documentation you need will depend on your port of departure and your ports of call. Not all Disney Cruise Line itineraries departing from the U.S. require a passport, but it is
recommended that you travel with one for ease when boarding, and a passport is helpful in case of an emergency that requires you to veer from your itinerary.
For many cruises that depart from and return to the U.S. and visit the Bahamas, Caribbean, Pacific Coast, Bermuda or Canada, Guests of any age may travel with a passport or a state-issued birth certificate (a copy is also acceptable)
AND Guests 16 years of age and older must travel with a government-issued photo ID. Ron, you can review a
complete list of requirements on the Disney Cruise Line website. I also encourage you to check the U.S. State Department website for more information.
I hope this information helps you as you plan for your cruise, Ron. A Disney cruise makes for a practically perfect vacation since once you board the ship,
so much of your dining, entertainment, and other events and activities are included. It really is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Stop by and see us any time with other questions you may have!
Wishing you many magical moments,
Shannon
