if I am a US citizen and take a Disney cruse departing from Port Canaveral to the carribbean, do I need a passport?

    Ahoy, Dana!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm thrilled to hear you are considering a magical voyage to the Caribbean aboard Disney Cruise Line! Not only will you visit some spectacular ports of call, but you'll also enjoy many wonderful amenities, delicious cuisine, world-class entertainment, spacious accommodations and so much more! Since you are departing and returning to the same U.S. port, a certified birth certificate is an acceptable form of identification for U.S. citizens. But, Disney Cruise Line does recommend all Guests travel with a valid passport in case of an unlikely emergency. To fly back to the U.S. from a foreign port of call, a passport will be needed. My advice is to read over the Passport Information Page on the Disney Cruise Line website so you can make an informed decision about your upcoming travels.
Thank you for stopping by with your question, Dana! Please let us know if you think of anything else.
    Have a magical day!
