Hi, Lawrence! We love return visitors here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I'm so excited you are staying at
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort! This is my home DVC resort, and I can't wait to hEAR those words, "Welcome Home," again. Staying at a Monorail resort is a huge perk, but my favorite thing about staying here is that fantastic Green Clover and Aloe smell they pump through the lobby!
Coincidentally, my family also had a 7:55 AM reservation at
Topolino's Terrace during our stay in February. Since there is no direct complimentary transportation between resorts, the best way to get to
Disney's Riviera Resort is by using a ride-sharing service; we found Uber to be slightly cheaper than Lyft, but your mileage may vary (literally)! Walt and his wife used to vacation overseas, and the theme of this character breakfast reflects the art scene that they loved in the Riviera. My kids are still talking about the "paint palette" of homemade pastries that we received with our prix fixe meal. They also raved about their Sour Cream Waffles. Although not Mickey-shaped, this entree is comfort food at it's best! I also highly recommend the Quiche Gruyère.
During this period of social distancing, the characters cannot stop at your table for autographs, but you will receive a postcard with those famous monikers. My Moms Panel friend, Angie, dined there this morning, and she reports that tables have been removed to allow for more space and that Mickey (AKA Topolino) and his pals circled around often to wave to guests. She also appreciated the new
Mobile Dine Check-in feature on the
My Disney Experience app, because she didn't have to stop at the podium to check-in. Make sure to wander out to the terrace after your meal; you'll understand why they included it in the restaurant's name when you see the views!
I hope you have a fabulous vacation, Lawrence! If you have any more questions, please stop by and see us again real soon!
