Hello: 1.Upon disembarkation at Port Miami, are there taxis readily available to go to MCO airport? Is it ok to not plan ahead for a taxi? 2.Do we have a dress up night? 3.About what time would boarding group 10 board? Thank you so much for your help!

    Welcome aboard planDisney, Stephanie!

You are in the final countdown of your Disney Cruise Line vacation, and I know you must getting excited. Thanks for bringing your questions to us here as you plan out these important details before you set sail aboard the Disney Magic!

Let’s work out way backward, starting with the unfortunate day that your vacation will be over and then we can end our time together talking about the exciting day your vacation begins!

I have sailed out of the Port of Miami twice and in my experience taxis are available. Of course, depending on the number of Guests utilizing these services, you should factor in wait time. I encourage you to check the ground transportation options through Disney Cruise Line, which I have also utilized with great ease.

Now, let’s talk Pirate Night! You should plan to start speaking like a pirate now because your cruise is scheduled to celebrate the “Pirates in the Caribbean” Deck Party. And shiver me timbers, Stephanie! It looks like your cruise will feature the Silver Anniversary Fireworks at Sea in addition to Pirate Night! If I were lucky enough to sail during the 25th Anniversary of Disney Cruise Line, I would add something sparkly to my packing list just for that event. These special nights are subject to change, so be sure to check your Disney Cruise Line Navigator App when you board for more information.

And finally, the moment you have been waiting for, boarding the Disney Magic! When you completed your online check-in process, you should have received a Port Arrival Form. This is a digital form that you can download (or have emailed to you) that you will need when you arrive at the port (a digital or printed copy is fine). On this form, to the left of your Boarding Group number, you should see “Arrival Time at Port of Miami.” Your boarding time correlates with your port arrival time. So, check the port arrival time, and then factor in that it might take 20 - 30 minutes or so to go through the port check-in and security process. Once you arrive inside the terminal, you will wait until your boarding group is called. I have found that if I arrive at the port at my designated Port Arrival time, once I’m in the terminal, my boarding group is typically called within 20 minutes. Of course, it may take longer. My best advice is to make sure all your check-in information is complete, that you have all your proper identification and paperwork, and that you arrive at the port during your designated Port Arrival time. And then you will soon be on your way to a magical vacation!

Stephanie, I hope this information is helpful to you. Please sail on by planDisney any time if you have any other questions! We want you to be in ship-shape from your cruise, and Tracie and Adrianna, our planDisney cruise specialists, know all the ropes!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
