When upgrading pass do I have to pay full price for the new pass?

Hello, Andrea! Welcome to planDisney. We are so glad you are here with your Magic Key question.

It's a good day when we get news that Magic Key sales are resuming soon. It sounds like you are already a part of the Magic Key holder family and are hoping to upgrade to a higher-tiered pass. Magic Key pass upgrades are possible and currently can be done in person at the Main Entrance Ticket Booths in the Esplanade. When upgrading your pass you will be paying the price difference between the two passes and this must be paid in full at the time of upgrade.

As a Magic Key holder, I hope you have been able to visit and enjoy the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. This is one of my favorite festivals of the year and I love that there are some added offerings just for Magic Key holders, like the specially priced Sip and Savor Pass. I may or may not have used three tabs last year of my pass for that Mickey Mouse Shaped Macaron made with SNICKERS from the Nuts About Cheese booth. I was so excited to see it had made its return this year again. Near the Cars Land Entrance across from Blue Sky Cellar, you will find a special Magic Key-themed dining area and photo-op to enjoy your festival bites.

Andrea, thanks again for stopping by. If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again!
