When upgrading a pass during the Magic Key Sale, what is the “price difference” I’d be paying? The grand total between the passes or the difference in monthly payments?

    Hi, Brittney!

Welcome back to planDisney, and thanks for stopping by again to ask us your question about Magic Key passes. I hope you’ve been enjoying your pass so far and making many pixie-dusted memories during your Disneyland Resort theme park adventures!

If you currently use the monthly payment plan option available to Californians, the amount you pay each month will remain the same because contracts can’t be altered. The amount that you owe when you upgrade from one pass type to another is the total overall price difference between the two passes, and it must be paid in full at that time. Please keep in mind that your upgraded pass will have the same expiration date as your original one.

I hope this answers your question, Brittney, and that you’re able to upgrade to the Magic Key pass type of your choice! Be sure to check out the Magic Key discounts available so you can make the most of your new pass, and please don’t hesitate to write back with any other questions you have.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
