Hi, Lamantha!
Welcome to
planDisney, and thanks for asking us a question about the
Disneyland Resort. I hope you’re looking forward to all the magic that awaits you at the Happiest Place on Earth because your visit is right around the corner!
Strollers are available in the Esplanade at the resort to rent for the day, but they are traditional strollers that are best for toddlers and young children.
Wheelchair rentals are also available for Guests with
mobility disabilities to use throughout
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park. It’s best to arrive early if you plan to rent a wheelchair because only a limited number are available on a first-come, first-served basis and they cannot be reserved in advance.
Perhaps a better option depending on your son’s needs is to reserve a rental from ScooterBug, a private rental company in the Anaheim area. They provide wheelchair pre-orders and rental deliveries for Guests staying at any of the three
Disneyland Resort Hotels. ScooterBug also offers a specialized adaptive pushchair rental option for those with special needs who weigh up to 200 pounds. However, please note that the dimensions of this model do not meet the resort’s stroller size restrictions, so it will only be allowed into the theme parks for use by qualified riders. You can visit ScooterBug.com/Anaheim or call (800) 726-8284 for more information.
I hope this helps you plan, Lamantha! Please stop by again if you have any more last-minute questions before your pixie-dusted vacation begins.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
